Deciding how to start a story can feel more intimidating than actually writing it. Get over that writing fear by starting a story with this one-line prompt:

I didn’t even want to do it.

This line could fit any point-of-view, present or past tense, or genre. Use it to try something new or write a new scene from the perspective of a character you already love.
