Welcome to this week’s writing challenge prompt!

Let’s explore the world undercover through the eyes of your chosen protagonist. What kind of mischief could they get up to as an international spy?

A few things to think about as you draft this story:

• Who’s funding their spying and why?
• What made your character want to live a life undercover (or do they?)?
• What’s your protagonist’s goal?

Sometimes writing is just for fun—this week’s prompt doesn’t have a specific lesson. Use it as a free-writing exercise that’s free of expectations and boundaries. It may be the exercise your brain needs after a long period of structured writing or writing with the specific purpose of getting published.
