Welcome to this week’s writing challenge prompt!

Characters (especially protagonists) always have at least one moment in their story where their life changes. That could be the inciting incident in your plot or another event along the way. 

This week, let’s write a short story about someone who accepts a dare. It can be any person or scenario you want—but make the dare the moment their life changes.

This is excellent practice at creating something similar to an inciting incident or a major plot point that spins your character in a new direction. Have fun making a new world or using this prompt with the characters you’re already writing about.
